After confirming that it will stock Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 smartphone and Galaxy Gear smartwatch, Verizon has also announced pre-order details for the two recently announced devices.
Both the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear will be available for pre-order starting with September 6 at 9AM EST. However, Verizon has not mentioned actual prices for the two gadgets, nor did it say when they will be launched.
Samsung confirmed on stage during its Unpacked 2 event yesterday that all its new devices – including the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Gear and Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) – will be launched on September 25 in certain markets, with 149 countries to get it in October.
Verizon has been late releasing new Samsung devices, so even if it has already announced pre-order details for the handset, that doesn’t necessarily mean it will be the first to launch the handset in the U.S.
However, this time around the Home button of the Galaxy Note 3 does not have Verizon branding like the previous generation did, which was apparently one reason for Verizon delaying the Galaxy Note 2 launch last year.
Other carriers in the region have also confirmed that they’ll carry the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear, including AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. U.S. Cellular will also have the handset in stock later this year.
